Braun Intertec is seeking to hire a Leader (Associate Director) for its West Texas region. Candidates should be local to or willing to relocate to Lubbock, Amarillo, or Wichita Falls.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the Business community.
  • Proven ability to manage success and conflict amongst teams and individual personnel, supporting Braun Intertec’s best interests.
  • Ability to understand Braun Intertec’s internal systems and practices, and to train, manage, and adhere to them.
  • Proven ability to lead small or large groups effectively through a service/servant leadership style.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and ten+ years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Texas Professional Engineer Registration is required.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall performance of the West Texas operational, client, and technical goals, as well as personnel within the Engineering and Testing Departments.
  • Oversee decision-making for regional personnel matters, including facilities, office engagement, and local marketing.
  • Continuously monitor financial performance and business unit activities, analyzing current and future unit operations, costs, and efficiency, and providing regular feedback.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization, cost structure, and service delivery within the central region, and develop/execute plans for continuous improvement.
  • Develop regional goals for net revenue, operating cash, key hires, business development, client selection, project delivery, safety, and client service, with a commitment to achieving them.
  • Objectively evaluate employee performance and establish goals for staff focused on enhancing technical, project management, and client service skills.
  • Manage the appropriate personnel mix to achieve office goals, including recruiting, hiring, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with employees at all levels, particularly other Unit managers/leaders and marketing staff, to set direction for client-related pursuits and marketing goals.
  • Direct client contracting in the office in accordance with Braun Intertec’s Authority Grant Policy.
  • Monitor individual employee project management skills, focusing on the financial performance of projects and client retention.
  • Encourage and support a work environment that facilitates cross-functional, multi-discipline work teams.
