About The Position

World Equestrian Center is seeking a motivated, team-oriented Sports Mechanic with previous golf course technician experience. The role is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment used by World Equestrian Center and its entities, including security, golf maintenance, horticulture, housekeeping, and food and beverage. The technician works alongside the Equipment Manager and three other Technicians.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as a Golf Course Technician.
A valid driver’s license.
Working knowledge of gas (4-cycle and 2-cycle) and diesel equipment repair and maintenance.
Ability to diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues.
Ability to maintain a preventative maintenance program.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Ability to work in an organized manner and complete repairs or preventative maintenance within an appropriate timeline.
Computer knowledge for entering preventative maintenance and repair records.
Ability to communicate effectively, keep the shop and equipment clean, and work in a team environment.
Working knowledge of grinding and reel setup; this is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment operated by World Equestrian Center and its entities.
Maintain a preventative maintenance program.
Diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues.
Complete repairs and preventative maintenance within an appropriate timeline.
Keep the shop and equipment clean and work effectively in a team environment.
Input preventative maintenance and repair records using a computer.
