About The Position

World Equestrian Center is seeking a motivated, team-oriented Sports Mechanic with previous golf course technician experience. The mechanic will maintain and repair equipment used by World Equestrian Center and its entities, including security, golf maintenance, horticulture, housekeeping, and food and beverage. The role works alongside the Equipment Manager and three Technicians. This is a full-time position with a schedule of either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The listed pay rate is $27.82–$34.44 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Golf Course Technician.
Valid driver’s license.
Working knowledge of gas (4-cycle and 2-cycle) and diesel equipment repair and maintenance.
Ability to diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues.
Ability to maintain a preventative maintenance program.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
Ability to work in an organized manner and complete repairs or preventive maintenance within an appropriate timeline.
Computer knowledge for entering preventive maintenance and repair records.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Working knowledge of grinding and reel setup; this is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment operated by World Equestrian Center and its entities.

Keep the shop and equipment clean and work effectively as part of a team.
