Chevron is hiring entry-level Wells Engineers as part of the Horizons Program at various operating locations across the U.S., including Bakersfield, California; Covington, Louisiana; Houston, Texas; Midland, Texas; and Greeley, Colorado. Wells engineers will have both office and field-based assignments as part of their early career development. Field assignments may include Drill Site Representatives for on-site drilling operations (exploratory and development wells) and/or Well Site Representatives for on-site frac spreads and well intervention operations on producing wells. Office assignments can include roles such as drilling engineer, completions engineer, and/or well intervention engineer. The Wells Horizons program is designed to accelerate the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence of Chevron’s new workforce, focusing on the first three to five years of an employee's career to build a solid foundation of knowledge and experience. Opportunities may arise to transfer to overseas locations after developing core Wells engineering competencies, and mobility is encouraged for diverse assignments both domestically and internationally.
