About The Position

The Wellness Team Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of care staff in assisted living and memory care, ensuring residents receive care and personalized assistance. This role involves promoting a positive work environment, upholding attendance standards, and leading the care team to meet resident and family needs according to the 1440 care standards. Key responsibilities include coaching and supporting care staff, participating in hiring and disciplinary processes, making daily rounds to ensure care standards are met, verifying staff hours, completing staff schedules, coordinating monthly schedules and replacement staffing, performing safety and infection control checks, maintaining documentation, training staff, completing new hire orientations, monitoring training completion, responding to emergencies, sharing on-call duties, and participating in community functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred
  • 2 years Leadership Experience
  • Certified Nursing Assistant with at least 2 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day supervision of care staff in assisted living and memory care.
  • Assuring residents receive care and personalized assistance.
  • Promoting a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Coaching and providing support to care staff, including monitoring job performance, coaching, counseling, and documenting corrective action.
  • Participating in the hiring, firing, and disciplinary processes and decisions.
  • Making daily rounds to ensure all resident care staff are performing work assignments in accordance with task sheets and acceptable care standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Verifying all care staff hours in NovaTime and weekly hour's report.
  • Completing care team schedules to assure proper coverage to meet community needs and according to budget.
  • Coordinating monthly staff schedules, arranging replacement staffing when necessary, and maintaining clear records of all changes, requests, and irregularities.
  • Performing daily and monthly safety and infection control checks of the home and grounds.
  • Assisting the Wellness Administrator for community health and safety purposes.
  • Maintaining appropriate and complete documentation per company policies.
  • Training care staff or coordinating training programs as required.
  • Completing new hire orientation with all staff.
  • Monitoring completion of monthly Relias training for all care staff.
  • Assigning additional trainings as needed.
  • Responding promptly to all emergency calls from the community.
  • Sharing on call duties as required.
  • Available to work weekends and / or on call as necessary as assigned by the Wellness Administrator.
  • Working toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
  • Participating in community functions including family socials and open houses.
  • Performing any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
