About The Position

The Wellness Spa Director is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the spa. The majority of your time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing and scheduling), ensuring client satisfaction and quality of client experience, monitoring and motivating staff to achieve performance goals, handling minor maintenance issues, ensuring the cleanliness of your spa, and managing safety and security within the spa. The Wellness Spa Director is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Wellness City principles in order to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Requirements

  • Management and/or Sales experience required.
  • Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  • Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Nice To Haves

  • College education is preferred but not required.
  • Beauty, Spa, Tanning Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
  • Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
  • Consistently sets a positive example and demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  • Displays a client comes first attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.
  • Drives company metrics by developing action plans. Directly motivates and instructs the spa team by implementing company programs.
  • Manages with integrity and honesty and promotes the culture, values, and mission of Wellness City.
  • Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
  • Directly responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the spa, sunless, and UV tanning equipment and facilities.
  • Manages spa staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain spa operational requirements.
  • Adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
  • Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the spa. Tools include labor guidelines, reports, cash management and inventory management.
  • Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in spa performance.
  • Regularly conducts performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.
  • Ability to be a leader with sales performance and to consistently meet sales goals.
  • Manage ongoing sales.
