About The Position
The Wellness Nurse supports residents’ health and well-being through ongoing clinical monitoring and support. The role assists community nurses, caregivers, and medication personnel in promoting regulatory compliance and clinical excellence. Success requires effective teamwork, flexibility and adaptability as duties and pace change, and a warm, encouraging disposition. This is a part-time position scheduled from 2–10 p.m., every other weekend. Compensation is $32.75–$38.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Hold a current nursing license and state registration as an LPN or RN.
- Have working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to compliance.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, and a warm, encouraging disposition.
- Bring eagerness to learn and compassion for residents.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience in assessment and geriatric nursing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating resident admissions, including screening, assessment, and care-needs determination.
- Ensure care is delivered as indicated in residents’ care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring medications are given according to physicians’ orders.
- Help coordinate care and services with outside providers, including residents’ physicians.
- Document and report care provided and resident observations, including unusual or significant changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable state regulations, policies, and procedures.
