Wellness Director (TAFB)
About The Position
The Wellness Director / Director of Nursing leads the community’s wellness and care operations under the guidance of the Executive Director. The role focuses on maintaining and inspiring a full team, providing resident-centered care that supports residents’ independence and well-being, coordinating with staff and medical professionals, and ensuring quality and compliance. The director also oversees medication management, audits, incident reporting, investigations, and emergency evacuation assistance. Other duties may be assigned in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Wellness Director, Director of Nursing, or equivalent; senior-care experience is preferred.
- Active LVN/LPN or RN license in Texas.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, mentor, coach, and lead the wellness team.
- Perform comprehensive resident assessments and coordinate individualized care plans.
- Provide empathetic, personalized care to residents.
- Coordinate with internal staff, third-party vendors, and medical professionals.
- Lead staff meetings and manage service agreements.
- Update physician order sheets and ensure compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Oversee medication management and complete timely audits.
- Handle incident reporting and conduct investigations.
- Assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
- Perform other duties aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.
