About The Position

Provides nutrition and diabetes education to patients and community members, in both one-on-one sessions and group classes. Assesses nutritional needs, develops and implements nutritional care plans, and evaluates and reports these results appropriately.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field.
• Registered Dietitian, licensed in NC.
• BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within one month of employment date.
• Five years of experience or at least 2 years of experience and a specialty certification, such as CDCES, certified pump trainer, etc..
• Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science in Dietetics (for those who became eligible to take the registration exam on or after 01/01/24). Preferred for those eligible for registration prior to 01/01/24.
• Certified Pump Trainer and/or specialty credentials in diabetes or nutrition
• Community health education experience or diabetes and nutrition education experience.
