Wellness Coordinator (Adolescent Mental Health Technician)
About The Position
Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is seeking a bilingual Wellness Coordinator / Mental Health Technician to support adolescents ages 13–17 in its PHP and IOP mental health programs. This hands-on role focuses on behavioral health support, client supervision, crisis de-escalation, safety monitoring, and daily program operations. The position is on-site in Boca Raton, Florida, and is part-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at $18 per hour. AWA provides mental health treatment for adolescents through PHP and IOP programs and describes its team as dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where teens can grow and thrive.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with adolescents in behavioral health, education, or youth services.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and professionally.
- Availability Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Mental health technician, behavioral health, or crisis intervention experience.
- Education in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related fields.
- Experience in PHP, IOP, or adolescent mental health settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise adolescents during programming, breaks, and transitions.
- Monitor client safety and support behavioral de-escalation.
- Assist clinicians with therapeutic schedules and group activities.
- Coordinate client check-in, dismissal, and family communication.
- Manage attendance, front desk tasks, and program logistics.
- Complete daily documentation, wellness checks, and incident reports.
- Report behavioral concerns and safety risks to clinical staff.
