About The Position

The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the wellness program. This includes plans to promote and improve health and wellness for clients in recovery, lead outings, transport clients to and from outings, lead on site groups, and engage with clients in a manner which promotes well being and accountability in their own lives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid, non-restricted, Colorado driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to gain certification within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented team and individual contributor.
  • Experience leading group activities.
  • Knowledge of area and its resources.
  • Knowledge of nutritional values.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals regardless of engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable ethics and integrity while providing outstanding service and care with compassion and discretion.
  • Ability to listen well and offer solutions.
  • Results driven with a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding defined goals.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to think creatively and share ideas.

  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to participate in fitness classes of all levels.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
  • Driving in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three plus years of professional experience in the health/wellness/fitness industry.
  • Health and wellness certification or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry and trauma-integrated care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help design and implement wellness programming.
  • Educate clients on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Oversee offsite activities, coordinating necessary equipment, transportation, reservations, etc.
  • Ensure adequate staff is available and prepared for activities.
  • Collaborate with Clinical department to plan activities.
  • Coordinate with Medical to ensure physical fitness clearance for each client.
  • Promote and ensure safety of clients at all times.
  • Assist with client physical exercise programs.
  • Develop professional relationships with outside organizations that create wellness, spiritual learning, and community service opportunities.
  • Develop an individualized wellness continuing care plan for clients to implement upon discharge.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.
