About The Position

Centerpoint is a 16-bed Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) for emotionally disturbed adolescent males. The primary mission of Centerpoint is the treatment and rehabilitation of adolescent males with mental illness and challenging behaviors. Centerpoint provides a secure, clinically intensive residential program that enhances growth and coping skills. The program’s goal is to enable each resident to attain optimal psychological and social growth; to transition to a less restrictive setting and eventually into the greater community. This position will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our youth!

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the recreational activities of our program.
• Work closely with our Residential, OT, and Nursing Departments, as well as the residents to continually assess the needs of programming.
• Lead recreational groups.
• Help build an environment that promotes good health, positive energy and fun!
