About The Position

The Kroc Wellness Attendant (KAA) is responsible for assisting in aquatics, fitness, and gymnasium areas, as well as member services. This role involves enforcing department rules, ensuring minors are properly accompanied, and verifying facility eligibility. The Wellness Attendant plays a key role in addressing policy violations respectfully and professionally, and promptly reporting issues to the relevant managers for follow-up.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English.
  • Ability to work and relate well with people.
  • Must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 prior to employment (recurrent training required every five years thereafter).
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.

  • Current CPR/AED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce department rules, including ensuring minors are properly accompanied by guardians and that only eligible individuals use the facility.
  • Address violations to department policies in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Promptly report issues, concerns, and questions to the Member Services, Aquatics, and Fitness Managers as appropriate for follow-up action.
