This internship program offers students the opportunity to shadow Well Operations Supervisors who direct and manage well site operations, including drilling, completions, frac, and workover. The role supports the ExxonMobil Well’s Organization in conducting worldwide oil and gas well drilling, completions, and workover operations with a focus on safety, cost, and efficiency improvement. Intern assignments are located in domestic, onshore locations. The internship involves a rotation schedule: three weeks on the well-site followed by one week off. Interns will gain exposure to the daily work of full-time Well Operations professionals, contributing to meaningful work from day one with hands-on technical experience and skill development. Activities include working with a Wells Team to implement well designs, supervising drilling/workover/completion operations at well sites, organizing and prioritizing well site activities with a focus on safety and continuous improvement, and analyzing/communicating well-related operations and performance. The program also includes facility tours, learning from senior leaders, networking with professionals, and social events. High-performing interns may be considered for return internships and full-time roles upon graduation.
