About The Position

Coordinate with First Shift supervisor to lead Second Shift Welders. The Welder position safely performs standard fixture setup, welding, grinding, and buffing for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs. This position requires the ability to plan and perform diversified tasks for shorter production runs. Projects will be more complex in nature.

Requirements

• Ability to read/understand blueprints and basic GD&T.
• Teamwork Orientation.

• Communication Proficiency.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical welding operations per prints.
• Select proper welding locations, and proper fixtures.
• Make proper set-ups for welding operations.
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
• Perform all dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Familiar with proper use procedures using different types of Cranes, Hand Grinder, Portable Plasma Cutter, Cutting Torch, Turntable, etc.
