About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Welding Technician at its Troy, Illinois facility. The position works Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; overtime may extend these hours and may be mandatory. The pay rate is $26.46 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. The posted salary is a general guideline and may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

The Welding Technician helps ensure the quality and precision of welded components. The role involves interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, conducting quality inspections, and collaborating with a cross-functional team of welders. Equipment used includes robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig welding equipment.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Be able to use a tape measure and calipers.
• Be able to wear personal protective equipment, including helmets, aprons, sleeves, and gloves.

Nice To Haves

• Previous welding experience.
• Welding certification.
