Welding Process Specialist
About The Position
Airgas is seeking a Welding Process Specialist in Long Beach, CA. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with customers, networks, and government agencies, and developing technical and commercial solutions to meet customer needs. The specialist will also facilitate decision-making, prepare project proposals, guide contract discussions, and provide support during project execution. Additionally, they will nurture relationships with key customers, stay updated on customer situations, and support Account Managers in sustaining partnerships.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the company's offerings, target markets, and competitive landscape is crucial.
- 7+ years of experience in a B2B sales or business development role, ideally within the industrial gas or a related industry.
- Proven track record in exceeding sales and business development targets.
- Leadership experience, especially in managing teams, can be a valuable asset.

Responsibilities
- Identify new opportunities, build relationships, secure and grow new business partnerships.
- Analyze market positions, competitors' database, and trends.
- Assist in defining long-term objectives and development plans.
- Deliver on development plans and identify new opportunities.
- Build contacts with customers, networks, and government agencies.
- Develop marketing activities and materials.
- Understand customer needs and develop technical and commercial solutions.
- Facilitate decision-making process and prepare project proposals.
- Guide contract discussions and reach agreements.
- Provide support during project execution.
- Nurture relationships with strategic/key customers.
- Stay updated on customer situations and improve customer experience.
- Support Account Manager in sustaining partnerships.
- Build alignment and resolve challenges through open communication.
- Ensure contract follow-up and sustain and enrich AL's customer base.
