Part- Time Welding Lab Technician - FY 2027
About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Part-Time Welding Lab Technician for FY 2027. This position provides technical support for the lab operations of scheduled and open Welding Technologies Labs. The technician will support instructors and students with the operation of specialized equipment, perform maintenance on specialized lab equipment, and assist in preparing labs with proper inventories for classes. The technician will also assist instructors in planning and preparing labs in conjunction with full-time faculty. Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis and the position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to the volume of applications received.
Requirements
- Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW and PAC machines.
- Proficient with an Oxy-fuel system and the tools related to the Welding industry.
- Experience verifying proper equipment operation and performing equipment maintenance.
Nice To Haves
- AAS Degree in Welding Technologies and significant work experience.
