About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary position filled each semester on an as-needed basis. The posting remains open continuously to build a pool of qualified candidates for future lab coordinator openings. Applicants will be notified only if there is an actual need to fill the position.

The Welding Lab Coordinator assists the Program Chair or Adjunct Faculty with student questions about lab projects, demonstrates techniques, performs minor equipment repairs, prepares equipment and materials for labs, and maintains the tool room. The role also involves respecting and promoting diversity of people, styles, and views as an integral part of the work.

Selected candidates are subject to pre-employment background checks, including a criminal history check. Any employment offer is contingent upon the outcome of those checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Two years of welding experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
