About The Position

This part-time, temporary position is filled each semester as needed. The posting remains open continuously to build a pool of qualified candidates for future lab coordinator openings; applicants will be contacted only if there is an actual need to fill the position.

The coordinator assists the Program Chair or Adjunct Faculty with student questions about lab projects, provides teaching demonstrations, performs minor equipment repairs, prepares equipment and materials for labs, and maintains the tool room. The position requires conducting all activities with appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views, and promoting that respect as an integral part of the work.

Selected candidates are subject to pre-employment background checks, including a criminal history check, and any employment offer is contingent on the outcome. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Two years of welding experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Technical Certificate.
• Two years of on-the-job training.
