About The Position
Fortis College in Smyrna is seeking an experienced, highly motivated welder to join its faculty full time. The role teaches courses in the Welding Program and includes academic advising for students, as well as participation in department training, meetings, and graduation. This is a full-time professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. Fortis College provides educational programs focused on career skills for high-demand occupations and professional growth.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal welding training program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma.
- Certified Welder certification.
- At least three years of experience as a Certified Welder.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Welding Educator certification is highly desired but not required.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding courses.
- Provide academic advising to students.
