About The Position

Miller-Motte College, part of Ancora Education, is hiring an instructor to deliver educational materials using sound educational practices that support students’ academic development. The instructor uses the educational experience to develop knowledge and skills in students’ chosen fields and help them achieve their educational and career goals. The role promotes an engaging, dynamic, student-centered environment and provides support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. Instructors model professional behavior and ethical conduct aligned with Ancora Education’s mission and core values.

Requirements

• Hold active certification or licensure where required.
• Have at least 5 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
• Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete new instructor training.
• Be able to qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

• Use classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged educational experience.
• Ensure students are presented with the material needed to meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
• Ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready, sufficient, properly maintained, and in working order.
• Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines, as well as company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
