About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking a part-time Welding Instructor to teach evening or weekend classes. The instructor will use Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program and provide classroom instruction and hands-on training in a fully equipped facility. The role focuses on welding principles, practical skill development, safety and industry standards, and preparing students for careers in Welding Technology. Prior teaching experience is not required; training is provided. The work environment is climate-controlled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of field experience in pipe welding or structural welding.
- Experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc), and plasma cutting.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program.
- Provide hands-on welding training and support students’ skill development.
- Teach safety procedures and industry standards.
- Foster professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among students.
- Create a positive, interactive classroom environment that motivates and engages students.
- Assess student performance and communicate progress through clear feedback.
- Prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in Welding Technology.
