Welding Instructor-Weekend
About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking a Weekend Welding Instructor to teach in its Welding program. The instructor will deliver lessons through Lincoln Tech's accredited training program and provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility. The role emphasizes welding safety and industry standards while supporting students' professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. The instructor will assess student performance, communicate progress, and prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in Welding Technology. Prior teaching experience is not required; training is provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of field experience in pipe welding and/or structural welding.
- Experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux-cored arc), and plasma cutting.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech's accredited training program.
- Provide practical welding experience in the facility to develop students' skills.
- Teach safety procedures and industry standards.
- Encourage professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among students.
- Create a positive and interactive classroom atmosphere that motivates students.
- Assess student performance and provide clear feedback on progress.
- Prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in Welding Technology.
