Welding Instructor

About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking an experienced welder to teach in its Welding program. Prior teaching experience is not required; comprehensive training is provided. The instructor will use Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program and provide classroom instruction and hands-on training in a fully equipped facility. The role focuses on welding principles, safety, industry standards, student development, and preparing students for careers in Welding Technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of field experience in pipe welding and/or structural welding.
- Experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW (flux-cored arc), and plasma cutting.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program.
- Provide hands-on welding training in the facility to develop students’ skills.
- Teach safety procedures and industry standards.
- Encourage professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among students.
- Create a positive, interactive classroom atmosphere that motivates and engages students.
- Assess student performance regularly and communicate clear feedback on progress.
- Prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in Welding Technology.
