Welding Instructor

About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking an experienced welder to teach in its Welding program. Prior teaching experience is not required; comprehensive training is provided. The instructor will deliver lessons using Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program and provide hands-on instruction in a fully equipped facility. The role focuses on teaching welding principles, safety procedures, and industry standards while supporting students’ professional growth and preparing them for careers in Welding Technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of field experience in pipe welding and/or structural welding.
- Experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux-cored arc), and plasma cutting.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech’s accredited training program.
- Provide practical, hands-on welding training in the facility.
- Teach safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
- Encourage professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among students.
- Create a positive, interactive classroom atmosphere that engages and motivates students.
- Assess student performance and communicate progress through clear feedback.
- Prepare students with skills and knowledge for careers in Welding Technology.
