Welding Instructor - PT Evenings
About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking experienced welders to teach in its Welding program at the Lincoln, Rhode Island campus. Instructors deliver lessons through Lincoln Tech's accredited training program and provide practical instruction in a fully equipped facility. They teach welding principles, safety procedures, and industry standards while supporting students' professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Instructors assess student performance, provide feedback, and prepare students for careers in Welding Technology. Prior teaching experience is not required; comprehensive training is provided. Full-time and part-time evening opportunities are described. The part-time schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of field experience in pipe welding and/or structural welding.
- Experience with GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux-cored arc), and plasma cutting.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Teach Welding Technologies classes using Lincoln Tech's accredited training program.
- Provide hands-on welding instruction and help students develop practical skills.
- Teach safety procedures and industry standards.
- Support students' professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Create a positive, interactive classroom atmosphere that motivates and engages students.
- Assess student performance and communicate progress through clear feedback.
- Prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for careers in Welding Technology.
