About The Position

Bergen Pipe Supports is hiring a full-time Welding & Fabrication Technician at its Donora, Pennsylvania location. The role involves receiving prepared and fitted materials and welding them. The technician works with steel and components according to established weld procedures, supports production targets, and helps maintain quality and a safe, orderly work area. The position is offered on a 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. shift.

Requirements

• Experience with the Flux Core welding process.
• Ability to measure quickly and accurately to minimize scrap.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to stand and work in a warm environment for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Grind and preheat steel with a torch.
• Move materials using cranes and/or forklifts.
• Weld components in accordance with weld procedures.
• Perform visual welding inspections.
• Undertake weld qualification tests as required.
• Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.
• Maintain quality standards.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Notify managers about non-conformities and facility or equipment repair needs.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
