About The Position

MH Eby is hiring a Welding & Assembly Technician to build custom and standard aluminum truck bodies and subassemblies at its manufacturing facility in Palmer, Texas. The role involves pulsed MIG welding, mechanical assembly, reading engineering drawings, measuring and fitting components, and operating production machinery and overhead cranes. The technician will work with a hands-on production team and is expected to maintain safety, quality, craftsmanship, and an organized work area. Requirements

At least 1 year of pulsed aluminum MIG welding experience.
Experience using hand tools and metalworking equipment to assemble and fabricate aluminum components.
Ability to read engineering drawings, take precise measurements, and use basic math.
Comfort with basic computer applications and learning to operate production machinery and equipment.
Commitment to safe work practices and physical ability to perform hands-on welding and assembly tasks.
Team-oriented, dependable, willing to take initiative, and committed to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Assemble aluminum truck bodies and subassemblies for custom and standard truck body applications.
Weld aluminum components using pulsed MIG welding techniques.
Install hardware and mechanical fasteners using hand tools and other equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings to build and assemble truck body components accurately.
Measure and fit components using measuring tools and basic math to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
Operate production machinery, equipment, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while meeting quality and craftsmanship standards.
