About The Position

This position is responsible for welding, inspection, and maintaining weld qualifications. All entry level and experienced welders will cross train on all operations in group to include brazing, laser marking, deburring, and assembly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.
  • Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.).
  • Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to work under general supervision and take direction.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear, stand, use hands; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 100 pounds, with assistance.
  • Must possess basic personal computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Weld, inspect, and maintain weld qualifications.
  • Cross-train on all operations in the group, including brazing, laser marking, deburring, and assembly.
  • Follow directions and work independently.
  • Learn welding skills and progress to different levels.
  • Troubleshoot basic welding issues.
  • Use basic measurement tools.
  • Interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Communicate and work well with other employees.
  • Maintain efficiency and quality requirements.
  • Report all non-conforming material to team leader immediately.
  • Comply with the rules and regulations mandated under ISO 9000, AS 9100, ITAR, and ISO 14001.
  • Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards.
  • Pass an annual Eye Exam per QP400.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
