About The Position

The Welder performs production wire-feed welding for the manufacture of air compressors, including welding pressure vessels to ASME code. The company provides certification and training. The role includes troubleshooting weld problems and making adjustments, understanding blueprints, identifying welding defects, and using weld gauges. Repetitive lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds is required. The position is a first-shift role.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• MIG welding experience.
• Safety-conscious, quality-minded approach, good work habits, and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform production wire-feed arc welding, including welding pressure vessels to ASME code.
• Troubleshoot welding problems and make adjustments to correct them.
• Understand blueprints.
• Identify welding defects and use weld gauges.
• Lift materials and products repeatedly throughout the process, up to 50 pounds.
