About The Position
As we launch our new facility in Mesquite, Texas, TMI Climate Solutions LLC is looking for talented individuals to support our operations and contribute to the site’s success. To support this growth, we are seeking Welders to play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of our components. The Welders are responsible for assembling and welding various industrial components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications, as well as performing repairs and modifications as required. The incumbents ensure quality workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency standards in all operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or DVS
- Relevant experience as a Welder performing various tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Execute work with precision, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Maintain a consistent pace while delivering high-quality output.
- Proactively identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrate versatility, autonomy, and accountability.
- Collaborate effectively and contribute as a dependable team member.

Responsibilities
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead
- Clamp, heat-bend, bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc and resistance welding
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Chip off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or portable grinders
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
- Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other alloys
- Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required
- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter
- Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using straightening presses, and hand tools
- Set up and use ladders and scaffolding as necessary to complete work
- Other responsibilities as assigned
