About The Position

This position involves working alongside the welding team at QuikCut, welding on a wide variety of products. The goal is to meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut, providing quality work while completing welding projects efficiently.

Requirements

Ability to read and take measurements.
Ability to determine appropriate welding equipment and method.
Ability to set up components for welding.
Proficiency with grinders for part preparation.
Skill in aligning components using various measurement tools.
Experience with MIG or TIG welding.
Ability to weld in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
Ability to test and inspect welded surfaces.
Knowledge of welding equipment maintenance and safety policies.
Ability to lift 10-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method needed for the project at hand based on specifications.
Set up components for welding according to specifications.
Operate grinders to prepare each part that must be welded.
Align components using calipers, rulers, height gauges, protractors, squares, clamps and other measurement tools necessary.
Weld components using MIG or TIG welding as required by the project.
Weld in various positions: vertical, horizontal or overhead.
Repair projects or other components by welding pieces together or filling gaps.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to establish and repair any flaws or defects.
Keep all welding equipment in good condition, adhering to QuikCut's safety policies.
Lift anything from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds will be lifted with assistance from a forklift, crane, or magnets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
