About The Position

The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity (HC) product families. The MTMS Welder III is responsible for performing advanced welding tasks, overseeing complex problems, and ensuring high-quality standards are met in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols within the HC Value Stream.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
MIG Flux welding process.
Core Submerged Arc Welding process.

Nice To Haves

Trade school/Apprenticeship Program and 5–15 years of experience in a similar position preferred.
Completion of an accredited welding program and 4 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced welding operations on a variety of materials.
Interpret and analyze complex blueprints, schematics and engineering specifications.
Set up and calibrate welding equipment and tools.
Conduct thorough inspections of welds and components to meet industry quality standards.
Provide support and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 welders.
Participate in advanced 5S and Lean initiatives.
Lead small groups in problem statement creation and small CI project implementation.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
Perform all Welder 1 and Welder 2 tasks when necessary.
Other duties may be assigned.
