About The Position
National Ramp manufactures accessibility ramp solutions designed to help elderly and disabled people regain mobility and independence. The Welder contributes to manufacturing ramp systems by producing high-quality components and supporting steady production in collaboration with the broader manufacturing team. This is an on-site role in Valley Cottage, New York, five days a week. The salary range is $25–$30 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Completion of a welding program.
- At least 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and use measuring tools with precision.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper use of protective equipment.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods during production shifts.
- Availability to work first or second shift.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding on ramp components to specification.
- Read blueprints and fabrication drawings to assemble welded metal structures accurately.
- Inspect weld quality and correct defects to meet safety and quality standards.
- Operate welding and cutting equipment while following shop safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output and manufacturing deadlines.
