About The Position

Conair, part of the PiovanGroup, produces auxiliary equipment and integrated systems for the plastics processing industry. The Welder is responsible for welding and assembling metal components using a variety of techniques and materials while meeting quality standards, specifications, and deadlines. The role requires the ability to read blueprints, work safely in a manufacturing environment, and produce precise weldments. This position is based at the plant in Franklin, Pennsylvania, and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

Solid experience in welding, including MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.
Use grinders and hand tools to cut and shape parts for welding.
Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, or other welding methods to join metal pieces precisely.
Align and fit components to create complete weldments while maintaining proper tolerances and fit.
Inspect finished products, identify and correct defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot welding issues.
Operate and maintain welding machinery, including routine cleaning and reporting maintenance needs.
Design and construct jigs and fixtures to position parts, maintain quality, and improve work repeatability.
