About The Position

Individuals in this position fit-up and weld company products. This role involves working on the 3rd shift, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 pm to 6:00 am. The welder will be responsible for fitting up and welding company products according to standard rates using GMAW (MIG) welding. They will also interpret drawings, use personal tools, collaborate with other welders on large projects, and maintain quality standards. The position may also require using GTAW (TIG) and FCAW welding processes, designing and building jigs and fixtures, and mentoring less experienced team members. There is potential to earn a Cell Leader role by supporting a supervisor in managing team members.

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment math & measurement test
• Pass GMAW (MIG) weld test
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, including weld symbols preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 7+ year(s) experience required
• Must be able to read and write in the English language
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16”
• Basic keyboarding skills including printing documents

Nice To Haves

• High school or Trade school welding certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Mentors less experienced team members
• Assumes leadership role coordinating team members on large projects
• Other duties as assigned
