About The Position
The Welder fabricates steel structural parts according to drawings or prints, prepares and finishes welds using a grinder, and operates a flip rite, transfers, and magnetic drill. The role includes visually inspecting parts to verify that all welds are present and properly applied. Welders communicate with upstream and downstream coworkers to address safety, quality, and efficiency issues. Safety is a core responsibility, and candidates must consistently initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- WQ1 (2G) weld certification.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to read and understand weld symbols.
- Ability to use an arc gouger.
- Previous crane certification.
- Previous experience in material handling.
Responsibilities
- Weld steel structural parts according to drawings or prints.
