About The Position

Pitco, a part of the Middleby Corporation, is a manufacturer of commercial restaurant equipment, including fryers, pasta cookers, and rethermalizers. Located in Bow, NH, Pitco has been in operation since 1918 and is known for its innovative, easy-to-use, and reliable products that are used globally. This role involves various welding operations and requires adherence to safety and procedural policies. The position may involve overtime and working on Saturdays. The company offers two shifts: 1st Shift (5:00 am-2:30 pm) and 2nd Shift (2:30 pm-12:00 am), both Monday-Friday, with a shift differential for the 2nd shift. The starting pay is $30.00/hour for both shifts.

Requirements

  • Mig and Tig welding skills.
  • 1-2 years GMAW & GTAW experience necessary.
  • Ability to read blueprints helpful.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand entire shift.
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to cross train into other jobs.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Pass the entry level welding test.
  • Demonstrate an ability to adjust equipment settings to accurately and consistently weld product.
  • Ability to work independently on either a GMAW or GTAW machine.
  • Consistently produce a quality product by remaining within the tolerance specified on the prints.
  • Drug test is a requirement of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Count and verify part numbers on the work orders.
  • Use labor-reporting system to track all personal direct-labor time spent on all jobs accompanied by a work order or routing paperwork.
  • Clean and maintain welding machines, tools, tips, etc. as needed.
  • Position, align, and secure work against fixtures to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Access QMS system and manufacturing resource planning system as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including aisles, weld booths, and machines.
  • Crosstrain in other work areas and rotate in and out consistently for better flexibility.
  • Produce a quality product regardless of the operation being performed.
  • Communicate equipment issues to Production Manager or designee.
  • Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and procedural policies.
  • Any other duties as assigned by production management or designee.
  • Pass the entry level welding test, as assigned and evaluated by the Production Manager or designee.
  • Demonstrate an ability to adjust equipment settings to accurately and consistently weld product.
  • Ability to work independently on either a GMAW or GTAW machine.
  • Consistently produce a quality product by remaining within the tolerance specified on the prints.
