About The Position

The Welder learns and performs entry-level tasks related to miscellaneous metals fabrication and welding under close supervision. The role develops foundational skills in welding, safety, and material handling while supporting crew operations on job sites and in fabrication areas. Employees are expected to take ownership of outcomes, lead from where they are, and act in the best interest of their team, customers, projects, and organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in welding or a related trade.
• Complete the OSHA 10 program within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, layout, and fit-up of metal components for welding and installation.
• Perform basic welding and cutting operations under direct supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Support material movement, staging, and tool setup for assigned crews.
• Participate in training and on-the-job learning to build proficiency in trade practices.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation and report maintenance needs.
• Work cooperatively with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
