About The Position

Morgan Truck Body is hiring a first-shift Welder in Ehrenberg, Arizona, at a listed rate of $25.50 per hour. The Welder operates welding equipment to join aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components used in truck bodies, helping ensure finished products are durable and meet customer and company requirements. The role includes interpreting blueprints, preparing materials with heavy equipment such as saws, setting up and maintaining machines, inspecting welds, applying multiple welding methods, and following safety and quality procedures. The position is based in a fast-paced manufacturing plant and offers opportunities to develop skills, earn certifications, and advance; the company says nearly 100% of production leaders are promoted from within.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a weld test.
• Be proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• Have at least 6 months of welding experience or have completed welding school training.
• Have a solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
• Have basic experience with hand tools.
• Understand and accurately apply measurements on the job.
• Be competent in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous experience working on truck bodies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld materials to required specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment such as saws to prepare materials.
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and pursue certifications.
• Perform safety and quality checks.
• Follow and promote all safety policies.
