Welders (MIG & FCAW)
About The Position
Perform SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate weld layout and fit‑up. Weld pipe and structural components in multiple positions, including roll‑outs, vertical, and overhead. Fabricate and weld pressure vessels; shear, roll, and fuse stainless steel or aluminum materials. Weld structural steel such as girders, stiffeners, splice plates, and diaphragms using FCAW/MIG. Follow strict safety protocols and ensure welds meet quality standards, including x‑ray and visual inspection requirements. Operate grinders, saws, drill presses, and other fabrication tools to prep and finish welds. Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve welding issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and MIG welding.
- Ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding schematics.
- Experience with pipe welding and structural welding in multiple positions.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools and shop equipment.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality standards.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with AWS welding certifications.
