Welder - 1st Shift
About The Position
Ferguson is seeking a Welder to weld outlets onto steel pipe for the fire sprinkler industry and perform specialty welding tasks such as spool pieces and flanges. The role includes inspecting work for defects, dimensions, alignment, end preparations, and seam splits in pipe, as well as maintaining a clean and safe welding station and reporting equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and required repairs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan. The stated pay range is $17.41 to $26.11 per hour; the starting wage may be higher in some locations based on local or state wage requirements.
Requirements
- One to three years of welding experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple demands, and meet timelines.
