E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks including pumpers and tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, rescues of all sizes, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles). Requirements

  • High school graduate or General Education Diploma.
  • Math and blueprint reading skills
  • Must be able to pass 2G, 3G or 6G certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficiency in TIG, MIG, or flux core welding processes.
  • Strong understanding of welding codes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques.
  • Must maintain certification according to AWS certification.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and complete complex welding assignments to specifications.
  • Must also have the ability to read and understand basic assembly prints, weld symbols and measure dimensions

  • Must be knowledgeable in Lean Methodologies.
  • Good problem solving skill

Nice To Haves

  • May require 0-1 year of certified welding work experience and/or proven qualifications of skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced welding tasks involving fit-up, weld, and repair metal and other weldable materials using a variety of techniques, with a specialization in 2G or 3G or 6G welding.
  • Certified to weld in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead, and fixed 45-degree angle), including complex welding that requires a high degree of skill and precision.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding processes and sequences.
  • Prepares materials and setups, and ensures all welds meet structural and safety standards.
  • Inspects completed welds for defects and ensures adherence to codes and industry regulations (such as third-party testing, NDT, AWS, and 100 standards).
  • Operates and maintains welding equipment and automated systems. May work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys as required by project specifications.
  • Adheres strictly to safety procedures for working in hazardous environments and may assist in training other welders.
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required or directed, to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.
  • Follow safety rules, ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility and notify supervisor of unusual operating conditions.
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings, training programs, and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to changes to equipment or process, new developments, requirements, procedures and policies and assist with the training and orientation of new or transferred employees as directed.
