About The Position
This is a Temp-To-Hire Structural Steel Welder position. The role involves performing MIG welding on structural steel components for the construction of shelters, ensuring proper fusion and adherence to welding codes and standards. Responsibilities include cutting steel channel and tubes, welding custom skids and frames per engineering drawings, and accurately measuring and cutting light gauge steel components. The job also requires reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints, and involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, and other repetitive motions. Requirements
- Must have structural MIG welding experience
- Able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings and blueprints
- Comfortable lifting, bending and other repetitive physical motions.
- Must pass drug test (THC ok)
Nice To Haves
- Current AWS Certification
- Experience in light gauge steel framing or cold-formed steel construction a plus
Responsibilities
