About The Position
BME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled Tig welders with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Requirements
- Tig welding experience on mild steel, aluminum, and/or stainless.
- Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts.
- Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work.
- Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Ability to use plasma torch
- Experience with hand and power tools
Nice To Haves
- Pipe Fitting experience
Responsibilities
- Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck
- Welding aluminum, steel or stainless steel materials into structural shapes
- Reading blueprints
- Welding a visually aesthetic product
- Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build
