About The Position

The Shop Welder is responsible for setting up their own machine, fabricating and repairing simple components, and carefully observing workplace safety rules and standards. This role requires a high level of proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and fabricating experience. The incumbent must also have their own tools.

Requirements

• High level of proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have fabricating experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and environmental health within the shop facility.
• Set up, maintain and break down welding equipment.
• Reference blueprints and schematics to ensure component specifications.
• Ensure all equipment is in good/safe operating condition.
• Ensure welding procedures are known and followed.
• Ensure high quality fabrication on all projects.
