About The Position
WELDER II IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HANDLING MORE COMPLEX WELDING TASKS, INDEPENDENTLY INTERPRETING BLUEPRINTS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND KNOWLEDGE OF WELD SYMBOLS WHILE PRODUCING HIGH-QUALITY WELDS. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF VARIOUS WELDING TECHNIQUES, PRINTS, AND MATERIALS, WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in AWS D1.1 and ASME Section 9.
- Fluent in Level I requirements.
- Knowledge and some experience in multiple welding processes.
- Strong ability to follow blueprints and technical instructions.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- Perform GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding on diverse materials, including steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Ability to weld and fabricate flanges and fittings to customer specifications.
- Read column, head, MS, barrel, prints.
- Conduct routine maintenance of welding equipment and report any issues.
- Monitor welding processes to prevent defects and ensure safety.
- Assist in training and guiding Welder 1 employees.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Complete and maintain acceptable production requirements for on-time-delivery.
- Complete and maintain acceptable quality standards to meet customer specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
