About The Position

Advanced Blending Solutions LLC of Wallace, MI is looking to hire a full-time Welder to join our production team. This role is ideal for an experienced welder interested in a successful career with an exciting, energy-filled manufacturing company. The position offers weekends free and is located in an area known for its outdoor recreation activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. The pay for this skilled welder position is $24.25+ dependent on relevant experience and weld test. Advanced Blending Solutions LLC is a privately-owned full-service designer and manufacturer of blending and convey equipment for the plastics industry, with state-of-the-art fabrication, machining, and panel-building facilities in Wallace. Requirements

  • Technical degree/certificate in welding or comparable experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and operate a variety of welding equipment
  • Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
  • Basic computer proficiency (ability to utilize our system to track jobs)
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, shielded metal arc, and gas metal arc.
  • Interpret basic blueprints to weld parts in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind parts as necessary to fabricate the final product to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
  • Enter data into the quality management system.
  • Monitor equipment and materials to ensure safe operation while following safety procedures.
