About The Position

This role involves setting up and operating manual weld machines or downloading programs, verifying welding materials and parameters, and interpreting weld requirements from blueprints. The Welder II will load and locate parts, perform welding according to customer specifications, and ensure quality through checks and spatter removal. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment and keeping the work area clean and orderly. The position may involve other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Able to read and understand basic blueprints and weld instructions.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or One year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions.
• Verifies proper filler, tooling, and gas flow is prepared in the robot or staged in manual area per set up instructions.
• Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, etc.).
• Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Welds parts per customer provided prints.
• Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Performs quality checks per set up sheet.
• Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
